Hello Folks

Tuesday February 21, 2006 marks a special day. Samantha Cashman Manieri was born at 8:20 pm, the end of a very difficult yet rewarding day. She is truly beautiful and we are very proud to have her in our lives. Sam was 8.5lbs and 21.5 inches long.

We had thought of looking through the history of February 21 to identify some key events. The following is just a few notations of what we have found:

1431 - The trial of Joan of Arc begins.
1848 - Karl Marx publishes the Communist Manifesto.
1875 - Jeanne Calment was born. She then went on to live for 122 years 164 days, the longest confirmed lifespan for any human being in history.
1893 - Thomas Edison receives two U.S. patents for a "Cut Out for Incandescent Electric Lamps" and for a "Stop Device"
1931 USA - Larry Hagman, actor, I Dream of Jeannie, Dallas; son of actress Mary Martin is born.
1953 - Francis Crick and James D. Watson discover the structure of the DNA molecule.
1995 - Steve Fossett lands in Leader, Saskatchewan, Canada becoming the first person to make a solo flight across the Pacific Ocean in a balloon.

In looking to the future, we see the following milestones others might add to their investigations:

2006 - Samantha C. Manieri, Queen of the planet Earth is born.
2025 - Samantha C. Manieri becomes the first female to win the Masters Tournament, her first major championship victory of 28 in total.
2025 - In the same year Samantha C. Manieri won the Masters, she went on to win Wimbledon in her spare time.
2035 - While receiving the Nobel Prize, the cure for cancer came to Samantha C. Manieri in the midst of her reception speech.

We look forward to showing off our lovely daughter soon!!!!!!

Frank and Lisa (I am healing slowly.and that was EXCRUCIATING!)

PS To Jody C. and Allison C....please forward to the rest of the family as I seem to only have your addresses..that is poor of me!!!!
